Maternity Acupressure header

Hi Lena,

Sorry I haven't responded to you, I gave birth to a healthy baby girl on March 6 and I did it vaginally this time, without induction, and I believe I have you and your books to thank!!! Although I did have an epidural, I did go without one up until I was about 5cm dilated. The back pain was just so unbearable. What did help me get that far though were the pain relief accupoints, particularly the Three Yin Crossing points.

About the bonus gift, yes I did get it and I actually have read it in between breastfeeding. I did have a minor tear, and the tucks pads that you suggested actually soothe the area quite nicely. Thank you Lena for all of your books and bonus gifts, your website is one I will definitely pass on!!!!!

Warmest Wishes and thanks again,
Suzie

Sharee gave birth to a baby boy yesterday(13/3/08) and all is well. She used the pressure points thing again, the night before and thankfully now its all over..

My other daughter is due in June so the book willget passed on but this other daughter usually has prem babies so we dont want her using acupressure unless she does a differetn thing and goes full time.

Regards,
Carol Cunningham (the proud grandmother)

Lena,

I just wanted to let you know that my birthing expeirence was great using the accupressure points. I worked on them for about a week before going into labor.

The day i started my contractions i also worked on them, which made my contractions very bearable and pain free. When i finally decided to go to the hospital, it was because i just wanted to make sure i really was in labor, because i was having contractions but they were not regular and 15-20 min apart. When i got there they checked to see if i was dialated and i was already 6 cm, I was sooooo excited i could cry.

With my other children i had to be induced so i was so thankfull for your help. I love your system, i have shared it with so many expecting friend, and i recommend it to anybody.

Thank You
and God Bless You

Lucy

Thank you for the for the books that I have downloaded (excellent idea to be able to do that). We started using the acupressure points and they did start contractions going!

Just a note to thank you for your useful tips and your book on labour acupressure techniques.

You will be delighted to hear that it worked and I found it terrific. I used the techniques to induce labour. I was due last Monday 6th August and I tried the acupressure movements on Sunday night the 5th August and again on Monday night 6th August. My husband performed the acupressure on me and hey presto I went into labour myself the following morning Tuesday 7th August at 10.00am.

I am convinced it was the acupressure that made it all happen. Not only that we tried out a few of the dilation techniques to help me to dilate and progress into labour more quickly. Although I started to have labour pains at 10.00 am Tuesday morning, I bided my time at home for as long as possible and when the pain was at the stage of being unbearable, I headed into hospital.

I headed into the hospital at 8.30pm on Tuesday night and was disappointed when they informed me that I was only 2cm dilated. But shortly after that, things really began to move along, as within the space of less than 3 hours, I had dilated to 5cm and within the space of half an hour after that again, I had dilated further to 8cm, at which point I got the epidural and my waters were then broken.

I was fully dilated by 2.45am and was ready to push. But because I had just received the epidural, they needed to reduce the epidural to allow me to feel the contractions myself as to when to push. So they left me for an hour to allow the epidural to wear off. By 3.45am, it was time to push and just after an hour of hard pushing, my little girl was born at 4.52am on Wednesday 8th August.

To be honest I found the pushing experience the hardest. The midwives and consultant told me that as a first labour, my dilation process was very quick and that I was blessed and should be even quicker when it comes to subsequent pregnancies and labour. I put this down again to the labour acupressure techniques.

I just wanted to thank you for the great advice and I don't think I would have had the same outcome without it. By the way, my little girl weighed in at a healthy 7 lbs and 7 ozs and we called her Alice.

Thank you once again.

Kindest Regards
~Olivia~

I went into labor around 3 in the morning... my contractions were every 3 minutes apart and got stronger with every one. When the doctors checked me I was only at 3... not willing to give me any meds for pain, I reylied on acupressure to take off the edge on my pain.

My husband rubbing my ankles was the only thing that brought me some sort of comfert, same with eating ice. I went from 3 to a complete 10 in 40 minutes. Acupressure did bring comfort during the time I thought nothing would. :) THANKS AGAIN!

Thanks for the wonderful book. It really did work. I was labor for about 30 min. Great Book. I would recommend to any new mom. Thanks again.

Thank you, thank you!

My daughter was 38 weeks pregnant with her second child and was in diagnosed pre-labour for some 4-5 days. A medical induction was proposed for 12 days later.

I (her Mum) applied most of the acupressure points applicable to inducing labour every 2-3 hours. At first we didn't think it was doing any good, but the day before my daughter went into active labour she could feel the contractions were working with her both during and after acupressure. Exactly 3 days after acupressure commenced she delivered a healthy 7lb 13oz baby boy. She also found the acupressure point (lower back) both relieving and comforting during her first stage of labour in hospital.

My daughter didn't require any drugs during her 4 hour labour, and had a smooth transitional normal delivery.

We would both recommend acupressure to induce labour and aid during the labour process and would not hesitate to use it again should the need arise.

Again, thank you.

Hi Lena, I'm very well thank you!

We used the tecniques suggested for pain relief in labour and found them very helpful and put at great ease, no other pain relief needed !!!!

I am now busy busy busy breastfeeding on demand and have just managed a spare ten mins to say a big thank you to you for your books and your kindness.

Hi Lena,

I tried the method on your video on Friday, January 11, 2008 and on Sunday, January 13th, my water broke. On Tuesday, January 14th, I had my son, Julian J.

Thank you!

A million thank you's to you for your techniques - my daughter was born on October 23 and my husband used the techniques much to my comfort and relaxation. I never got to use the induction methods though ... ;). During labor, we found pressing the acupressure points underneath the foot soles extremely effective, as it helped to focus on the breathing as well as keeping feelings of panic and anxiety away.

We used this technique a lot because I had an urge to push at a very early stage during labor and had to cope with these contractions for three hours before allowed to push. The point on the right side of my little toe was also an effective pain reducer, as well as pressing the points around the coccyx.

I strongly recommend these techniques to any couple who are in synch with each other.

I could not have done without labor acupressure! I was suffering from extremely slow early labor, my cervix wasn't dilating. It was painful and I wasn't making progress with my labor...

My hubby found your guide in the Net and after browsing it he started to treat some points that you told to be helpful. And they were!

When we went to the hospital I was SO relieved to hear that I was 5cm open... We used acupressure at the hospital too. I took some gas, but not the epidural, because acupressure halved the pain. The method was easy to learn and meant that my hubby got to do something very useful.
